SuperKid - Rules

SuperKid Motto - "Fun First, Food Second and Competition Third"

finishing the SuperKid TriathlonPlease read the information below that will help you and us through the day. You may find it helpful to review your child's race route before the event.

The SuperKid Triathlon is a continuous swim, bike and run event.

Swim Course

For the swimming segment, younger swimmers may use an approved floatation device; an assistant in the water will be available to help your child across the pool.

All participants start in the water. No diving entry. Please observe all pool rules. If you bring a flotation device for your child, please be sure to get lifeguard approval. There will be volunteers available to assist your child in the swim. If requested, parents may get in the water with their child.

Bike and Run Course

Running at the SuperKid TriathlonBicycle helmets are mandatory and must be worn for the entire bike ride. Participants age 6 and under may use any type of bike, including bikes with training wheels. Participants age 7 and up are required to use a wide-tire bike, mountain bike, or BMX- type bike because they will ride on the dirt fire road adjacent to the Swim Center parking lot.

Please be sure to rack the bike and store the gear in the correct space. We will have signs to direct you to the correct location and chalked out areas for each child's transition area space. There will also be many volunteers in the transition area that will assist you in finding your spot.

Helmets must be worn on the bike course. Remind your child to buckle their helmet before they get on their bike and to not unbuckle it until they are off their bike. We will have volunteers in the transition area to assist your child with their helmet. Children are required to remove their helmet before beginning the run.

7 and Older Age Groups

Please don't run next to your child during the run or bike segments. We want to keep the area as clear and safe as possible for the kids. We have some wonderful volunteers that will assist the SuperKids.

6 and Under Age Group

Parents of children 6 and under may help their children in the transition area. Parents with a wrist band will be allowed into the transition area to assist their child. This will help keep the transition area less congested and provide more safety for your child. Please, one parent per child. Thank you.

4 and Under Age Group

As above, parents will receive a colored wrist band. In addition to parents assisting their child in the transition area, parents may run next to their child during the bike and run events. Please be aware of other children and parents around you.
