Event Location
The
SuperKid Triathlon will be taking place at the Simpkins
Swim Center in Santa Cruz, located at 979 17th Avenue. Use
Mapquest for specific directions.
From San Jose:
CA-17 S toward SANTA CRUZ. 26.7 miles
Merge onto CA-1 S toward WATSONVILLE/MONTEREY. 2.0 miles
Take the SOQUEL AVENUE exit. 0.1 miles
Take the ramp toward 17TH AVENUE. <0.1 miles
Turn LEFT onto SOQUEL AVE. 0.2 miles
Turn RIGHT onto 17TH AVE. 1.2 miles
End at 979 17th Ave Santa Cruz CA
PARKING
Primary parking will be available at Ledyard Company and Shoreline Middle School. Overflow parking will be at Del Mar Middle School.
Directions to ParkingLedyard Company - 1005 17th Avenue
Coming from the east, off Soquel Drive to 17th Avenue, headed toward the beach.
Prior to the Swim Center, approximately ½ block, the first parking opportunity will be at Ledyard Company. You will make a right hand turn into Ledyard's parking lot. The right turn is BEFORE the railroad tracks. We will have a sign posted on 17th Avenue directing you into this parking lot.
Coming from the west, off Portola Drive to 17th Avenue, headed away from the beach.
Approximately ½ block past the Swim Center, the second parking opportunity (see below for first opportunity) will be at Ledyard Company. You will make a left hand turn into Ledyard's parking lot. The left turn is AFTER the railroad tracks. We will have a sign posted on 17th Avenue directing you into this parking lot.
Shoreline
Middle School - 885 17th Avenue
Coming from the east, off Soquel Drive to 17th Avenue, headed toward the beach.
After you pass the Swim Center, you will travel approximately one block to your second parking opportunity, Shoreline Middle School. You will make a right hand turn into the Shoreline Middle School parking lot. We will have a sign posted on 17th Avenue directing you into this parking lot.
Coming from the west off Portola Drive to 17th Avenue, headed away from the beach.
About one block before the Swim Center will be your first parking opportunity at Shoreline Middle School. You will make a left hand turn into the parking lot. We will have a sign posted on 17th Avenue directing you into this parking lot.
Del Mar School - Overflow Parking
1959 Merrill (Off of 17th Avenue)
Overflow Parking will be available at Del Mar School which is about one mile west of the Swim Center. Del Mar Middle School is near the intersection of 17th Avenue and Portola Drive. We suggest that you first try parking at Shoreline Middle School or Ledyard Company. If overflow parking is necessary, we will provide signs leading you to Del Mar School.
